I've been struggling this week to get a shot for the macro challenge. Trying to capture motion in a macro seems to be beyond my abilities and technique at this point so this shot is the best I've managed. The butterfly was just lifting off the flower here and it is blurry but not in a way that suggests motion, to me, just looks more like poor focus. Oh well the week is ending and this is the best of a poor lot of choices so I guess this is it!
Lovely shot of one of those gorgeous insects. I have always adored monarch butterflies, I like the moment you've captured! I would usually see one with its body on the other side, but from how you've captured it it does suggest the motion of liftoff. Thanks for entering the macro motion challenge.
