Giant Hive

Now, with all the leaves off the tree, it's easy to see this giant hive. I suspect it is a white faced hornet hive as there was one of these in a nearby tree a couple of years ago. The previous hive was lower and someone seemed to have taken a stick to and broken it up during the winter but this one is considerably higher in the tree and would require a lot more effort to destroy.
