Another shot from the pond edge. I don't know what bird this is. The only place I see it, in my area, is at the edge of the pond and it is quite small. There are usually a few of them scurrying around right at the waterline.

Sure it's a sandpiper species, but I'm not familiar with all the USA ones.
If no one local identifes it I'll have another look in my morning.
@markp Just going with your mention that it is a sandpiper, and the fact that I found it in Ontario, I was able to narrow it down to being a Spotted Sandpiper ( Actitis Macularius). Sounds like an interesting little bird.Thanks for your input.
