White Throated Sparrow by gardencat

White Throated Sparrow

Late April is the time of year when I usually see a few birds migrating through, this is one of them this year. These ones always seem to forage on the ground and are expert at keeping a bush or clump of grass between themselves and the camera. These also have a surprisingly loud and cheerful birdsong which sounds much bigger than their size would lead me to expect.
such beautiful markings.
some of the really tiny birds here also have really loud song, can be so surprising!
