Some of the bushes without leaves now, have lovely vibrant red branches that add a welcome spot of colour to the winter fields but, individual branches are spindly and tangled and I haven't, so far, found a way to photograph them, that does them justice.
They do make a nice background for this little cluster of burrs, however.
