I haven't been down to the lake in ages so, Saturday morning I headed down and made an unexpected discovery. Apparently, there is an open water swim club which meets there every Saturday morning (only in the summer I suspect) between 8 and 9 PM. They set up a course using buoys and put in as many laps as each one wants. No competition, as far as I could see, just the opportunity for swimming open water, with other enthusiasts and track your distances. The actual swimming was going on to the left of the scene here. These were swimmers preparing to go in or resting after having completed.
I would have liked some shots of those swimming but, being restricted to 50mm and no cropping, that idea was a wash.
