Its Beauty by gardenfolk

Its Beauty

I decided that
if I could paint
that flower in a
huge scale
you could
not ignore
its beauty.
...Georgia O'Keeffe

Best on black.
Love the way you've processed this pic. Lovely comp and lighting too. Fav :-)

@Cherrill Thank you, Cherrill for taking the time to stop by to comment and fav. It warms my heart. I was a big Georgia fan many years ago and feel like she is channeling me sometimes...it doesn't happen on purpose but when I do some floral photos, they remind me of her so much and it brings back memories. :)

@cdonohoue You are most welcome, Cathy! I hope it lifted your spirits and day! :)

@yogiw Thanks, Sandy! I mix it up and go back and forth experimenting. My goal is just to make pretty photos to keep me happy, not to show my daily life per say.

This is so very like her work too. There was an exhibition of hers on at Tate Modern a couple of years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. What a beautiful presentation of these bold flowers.

@helenhall Thank you so much, Helen. I enjoyed her work too, many years ago and I had one of her floral posters in my apartment when in collage. :)
February 9th, 2018
Great shot and processing.
February 9th, 2018
@helenhall I went to that exhibition too. I was inspired by a film documentary I had seen about her life. As well her flowers I was intrigued by her life and pictures in the desert.
