We went to the 46th annual Pear Fair in the Sacramento River Delta town of Courtland. They have a pancake breakfast, 5&10 mile runs, youth duck calling contest, a pie eating contest for both kids and adults, parade, music, arts & crafts, pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses and everything edible in pears. We brought home 20 pounds of fresh Bartlett pears, both green and red and two delicious pear pies. A good time was had by all.
