Cats randomly refuse
to follow orders
to prove they can.

I bought this lovely collar for Katniss. It is suede leather with Swarovski crystals. This is what she thought of the collar! Actually, I might use it for Sophie Belle instead because it doesn't have a breakaway safety clasp but is made with the elastic instead.
I have already bought another orange collar that has the safety clasp and is embroidered in neon green with her name and our phone number. It is also somewhat easier to see in all her fur. Katniss is also microchipped but I feel better having a visual sign to show she has a home and is not a stray or feral. Research shows that cats that get lost are far more likely to be returned if they have a collar. I know that she spends most of her time in our yard or the two backyards behind us but it makes me feel better.
I am pleased to say that after several failed attempts the last few years to get her to wear a collar (for longer than 30 seconds), she has finally agreed to wear one. It is a symbol of belonging.
You know, at first glance I thought there was a kuni kuni pig lying on top of the pussycat!
This is a beautiful collar - I put several over the years on our cat and she invariably lost them - probably climbing trees!
