After the Kentucky Horse Park, we went to see the Keeneland Racetrack and watch a few races. I did not bet. Horse racing is not my favorite as I worry about the horses the entire time. I do not want any to get hurt. But, I do like seeing the horses before the race, full of excitement and energy. It was a very pretty and intimate place...the horses were so close before the race and walked right by you on their way to the track. Keeneland had a fabulous and expensive gift shop, beautiful grounds and bluegrass history. The Palomino at bottom right was such a flirt with any young woman who wanted to pet him. He was a charmer and a lead pony for one of the racehorses. The Keeneland Racetrack is a Lexington institution and a National Historic Landmark.
