Hello, Santa Catalina Island. We were here for my birthday in May. However, we had to leave the island early due to windy conditions and the cancellation of the boat service for the rest of the day. I cried. So we returned again to do some of the activities we missed.

This is Avalon Harbor. To the right in the foreground is the Queen Anne home called Holly Hill House. Up on the far mountain is the Catalina Chimes Tower. The big round building is the iconic Catalina Casino, not for gambling. And in the middle of the harbor is the Green Pleasure Pier.

Catalina is a small island with about 4,000 residents off the coast of California and is part of the Channel Islands.
