There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness,
but of power.
They speak more eloquently than
ten thousand tongues.
They are the messengers of
overwhelming grief,
of deep contrition
and of unspeakable love.

Happy 80th Birthday, Gloria!
I went to a celebration of life/birthday for my dear friend, Gloria, who sadly passed away in October 2020. Gloria planned all along not to see 80 years old and Gloria usually got her way.
We were invited by her family to share heartfelt stories of our connection to Gloria and to see her resting place. Later, we went to Gloria's favorite Mexican restaurant, enjoyed an outdoor meal and more stories. Another of her many friends made delicious cupcakes for dessert.
I cried several times but walked away feeling happier than before I arrived. That is exactly the way I would feel when spending time with my dear friend. I think Gloria would have loved this “glorious” pink flowering tree. I miss her but know she has reunited with her beloved husband and favorite dog who paved the way to heaven before her. God had a plan and she believed in that plan.
