Bloom Where You Are Planted

Bloom where you are planted
and sow where you are fed.
...Stella Payton

I spotted these camellias growing in a planter. I didn't know they bloomed this time of year.

Camellias were first brought over from Japan in 1852 by James Warren. They have impacted the city of Sacramento ever since. In 1941, camellias were officially declared as the city of Sacramento's flower. Soon after, the Camellia Society was born.
That’s a beautiful blossom. I’ll have to watch for more. I first spotted the daffodils just starting to form buds yesterday. Maybe we’re in for early spring.
