Bruges looks like a fairytale city. We are heading to the Historic Center of Bruges. it is an outstanding example of an architectural ensemble, illustrating significant stages in the commercial and cultural fields in medieval Europe. I don't know about all that...I just think it is magical!
Bruges was getting ready for the Procession of the Holy Blood which was created as an expression of gratitude and faith. (May 18). The colorful pageant dates back to the thirteenth century when a citizen of Bruges is said to have brought the Relic of the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ back from the Second Crusade.
We visited Bruges on a Saturday so the streets and stores were very crowded.
