I had some fun with smoke photography today. Fortunately, my migraine was just about gone when I woke up this morning so the incense I used for the smoke didn't bother me in that regard.
Beautiful! So sorry about the migraine. I get about six a month, they respond to meds, but still frustrating. I savor those days when I am headache free. Hoping that you have a long break without one!
@jamibann@merrelyn Thank you both for your wonderful comments! You asked how I did this and how I set up for smoke photography . . . I've done smoke photography 3-4 times and each time I end up going back online to refresh my memory on setup and setting tips. Here's a link for a thorough and step-by-step explanation for smoke photography . . . http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/smoke-photography-tips/
One of the things he lists under 'equipment' is patience and that is definitely true for smoke photography but once you're all set up and spend a little bit of time experimenting to get the hang of it, it all flows quite smoothly. :-)
@terrinorthwind Terri, I am so sorry to hear that you get about six migraines a month. That just breaks my heart because I know from personal experience how debilitating they are. I started getting mine in high school and since then, for most of my life, the only way I could deal with them was by taking prescription meds. If I had a bad one, even the meds didn't work. Mine have tapered off drastically the last couple of years and fortunately I can deal with the ones I do get without a prescription. I totally understand your comment on savoring the days that are headache free. I hope as time goes by you'll start experiencing extended periods of time, like months, without a migraine. :-)
