The space under a bridge creates a little world separated from the surrounding area. It's a pleasant walk along the towpath next to the River Cam, but for a few seconds passing under the ironwork of the railway bridge, with its graffiti, that shakes and roars if a train passes overhead. Look the other way and a Cambridge college rowing eight will race past.
