Day of Remembrance

Through cities and farms
Soft wind carries their whispers
Day of remembrance


Out of state for a wedding. Somewhere in the farmlands of Pennsylvania. And though the landscape is different, and far removed from the changed skyline of NYC, the day is treated no less different. Out here the heart still hurts, still mourns for those lost in 9/11.
