On man occasions I have tried to capture a fantail with his tail out - today i finally did! They rarely stand still let alone have their tail fanned out at the same moment :)
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and favs on the London Bridge collage. Because of your kindness it made it to the TP and PP - Thanks :)
Ahhhh, fav. I look forward to these friendly little darlings coming to visit every summer - haven't seen them this year. This is such a great shot, as they flit around so quickly.
@kerrynz Yes Kerry. It was out at our Nature Reserve (extinct volcano hollow) where I had emus wandering around me, but I was focused on the fantails :) I think the tourists were amused with me!
I would think this brief moment in time would be a real challenge to capture but you did it splendidly. That's one impressive fan of feathers this little bird has.
I tried so hard to get a photo of one with its tail out when I was in NZ recently! I never managed it but I appreciate the effort you must have taken to get this!
That is FAN- (and fav)-tastic! I, too, have been having computer issues (after 3 weeks of fuss it turned out to be just that I needed a new mouse) so have not been on here much and missed this last week -- but never to late!
Fav and Congrats on PP
Thank you for you nice lines and sympathy on my surgery.
