This was taken Sunday night -sooc! I had summonsed all my energy to take the bin out for collection on Sunday night to be confronted with this sight :) I had to go and find my camera which I hadn't unpacked of course and walk back outside to the street to take a couple of photos. No energy to play around with settings etc - I just wanted to get back to bed!
Fantastic shot. I know that the bright one was Venus, but I didn't know that the other one was Jupiter. How exciting, thank you for filling me in. I got a shot of this too. I will have to share it too.
ah, the rewards of doing one's job. I reluctantly took the dog out the other evening and was rewarded with fireflies, so many I thought about photographing them (but remembered just how tiny they are.)
After seeing your shot of these three heavenly bodies, I just happened to notice them yesterday evening. No shot though but thanks for alerting us to it. 3 heavenly bodies hey? Hhhhmmmm :-)
Nice capture. Hope you are better.
There was an Aurora appeared in the southern states last night or very early morning. We missed it here as was cloudy and raining here. I presume you missed as you have not been well. Take care.
@terryliv I could do with a bit of heavenly intervention to shake this bug :) @gijsje Thanks for sharing your friends photo - so the positionings are different - southern and northern hemisphere? @lyndemc Thanks Denise. As soon as I saw it I knew i would have to try and capture it as they wouldn't all be so close together another night :) @cejaanderson Thanks Jane. Did you get any shots? And our world is an amazing place :)
@leestevo Thanks Lee-Ann. The Aurora has been quite visible from the coast here and several people have got some good shots. I'm on a S/W Photographer's group on facebook so I see what other's are posting. I'm unfortunately not well enough to go out at night (hardly been out in daylight yet!) and I also don't know how to photograph night scenes! It's on the list :) @cashew Thanks Kathy. Sadly it's the middle of winter here :(
