My dear brother, Allen sadly lost his battle with cancer on Friday. I was really struggling with what photo to post to explain my sadness and absence from here. Then I walked into my sister's house today and saw this vase of flowers - it just made me laugh and cry at the same time. One of our dear brolly friends had given them to her. I just feel it is an appropriate symbol in recognition of our horticulturist brother who has featured several times on my 365 project. R.I.P my beautiful brother.
Oh Denise, I am so so very sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I want to drive to Warrnambool and give you the biggest hug. I always enjoyed seeing photos of your brother when you posted them - I can only imagine how sad you are right now. I think you have a very strong support group around you and I'm hoping that you will lean on them for some love. I know you have had a tough year.........I'm sending you lots of love and positive energy to help you thru xxxx
I'm so sorry to hear if your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. As Sam said, I enjoyed seeing photos of you together, and I'm glad you have such a great support group.
Oh Denise, so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. This photo says it all, so beautiful. When my daughter died I didn't want to post a morbid photo and on the day of her funeral I posted a photo of her front door. As one door closes another opens.
This shot is both happy and sad at the same time. I love how the flowers are bowing in reverence.
Sending you lots of hugs, you have had such a difficult year. xx
I am so sorry to learn of your loss and your brother's passing... so very sad. This is such a thoughtful shot to mark the day. Lovely, how the tulips are almost bowing down out of respect and sadness. My condolences to you and to your family.
Oh please accept my sincere condolences, having lost my big Sister I know how you must fell. Remember the happy times you had together and I'm sure he wouldn't want you to grieve to long. As for the capture it does seem so poignant. FAV for your capture. PLEASE don't comment or even view mine today, it wouldn't make me feel good.
So sorry for your loss Denise, this is a very touching photo to express your sadness. The tulips look like they are bowing in respect!
My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time.
How poignant...I'm sad reading your narrative and the thread. I have two brothers and just reading what's happened in your family is a jolt. The image is the perfect symbol - and how special that it was from one of his good friends.
Denise,I am trying to catch up with commenting and am sorry to find that your brother has lost his fight against cancer. He is no longer suffering but I can understand how difficult this must be for you, I lost my brother through cancer and still miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I would love to be able to give you a big hug, words are so inadequate. Your photo is so appropriate
@gilbertwood The title for your October 20th picture had me searching through your pictures for word about your brother's passing. I'm so very sorry that cancer has stolen your dear brother from you. This photograph speaks volumes about how it must feel to be without him in your life now.
