My Son - Vietnam by gilbertwood

My Son - Vietnam

We did a day trip to the My Son ruins (55kms) from Hoi An. It was built between the 4th and 13th century and was a place of worship in the kingdom of Champa. They were rediscovered in the late 19th century by the French who started to restore the site. Sadly during the Vietnam war, the Northern Vietnamese set up their head quarters here and the Americans bombed some of it.
Amaxing collage of the ancient ruins.

So amazing, thank you for the information about the ruins, the Pyramids in Egypt offer the same puzzle about how they were built so perfectly, so long ago.
