They look lovely as long as there are only one or two but whenever we go through Raymond Terrace there are hundreds of them in the trees and the smell is dreadful. Glad I don't live there.

@olivetreeann these are flying foxes, they eat fruits and nectar, rather than insects. What I love is that their primary food trees are the koala primary food trees. Flying foxes are more important for pollination than even bees, so the dropping numbers is a big issue. No flying foxes, no koala trees, and many other critical natives.
