I was happy to see a few hooded plovers and their young on Killarney beach yesterday. Some of the beach areas are fenced off to try and protect them while nesting. They are only 10-15 cm (4-6') big and very shy! Posting early today as I'm off on a trip along the great Ocean Road before many tourists return as Melbourne comes out of lock down!
