Finally after 55 years of discussions, debates, disputes and despair, the new bridge over the Murray river is finally being built! It's going to be massive and will also go over the Campaspe river too. There will be 2-3 kms of bridges and raised road over flood plains costing $323.7 million! It will connect 2 states, Victoria & N.S.W who are funding it along with the federal govt too. It will skirt around both towns on each side of the river - Echuca & Moama. It should be finished mid 2022 - I'll have to go back :)
My goodness what a bridge! It will reduce the traffic in towns along the way, Iām sure. From your description, it would cost billions here in the USA!
