This was the sun last night, New Year's Eve, from my sister's deck as we farewelled 2021. I'm also saying farewell from 365 for awhile as 2022 has a few challenges I have to deal with. Thanks to everyone for your support, fun comments and your great photos over the years. I won't completely leave - that's way to hard to do, but will only post when I can and check in on your photos as well. Let's hope 2022 sees life begin to get back to "normal" and everyone has a happy, healthy and safe year. Cheers for now :)

A Very Happy New Year Denise. I shall miss you but I know your absence won’t be permanent. You and I have an awful lot in common and I know that if we didn’t live on opposite sides of the world we would be good friends. Good luck with the things you have to deal with in 2022. @susiemc Thanks for those beautiful words Sue. And I am so sure too if we lived near each other we would be great friends, and I'm sure you'd be a brolly girl too :) We have so much in common, and our beautiful grandchildren are all similar ages. One of my hardest things I have to do this month is pack up my dear friend's (Sue, who passed away mid December) house - she has no family left, so another of her friends I will do it starting next week. I think we need to keep in touch so I'll give you my email, and I'm also on facebook if you are. I hope you and your family have a good 2022 and this dreaded covid starts easing off!! Fabulous images Denise. I was just thinking that I hadn't seen anything from for a bit so I went back to check your posts. I obviously missed one. @merrelyn Thanks Merrelyn. life is a bit hectic at the moment and I just don't need the pressure to post daily - I will miss this, but hopefully pop in when I can. What I would love is to go over to WA and catch up with you!! Hopefully one day soon it will happen :)
@gilbertwood I'd love to catch up too and look forward to doing so soon. We've been living in such a bubble over here but I fear that many people have become too complacent and the proverbial will hit the fan when we open up in February.

@jamibann Thanks Issy. I've had a rough time with the sudden passing of a long time friend and past colleague who has no family left. A few close friends and myself are packing up her house and everything that goes with that. I just can't focus on photography much at the moment. Hope you and your family are well.
