No, it’s not actually a muddy lane but it used to be a muddy farm track and was so known locally (and still generally called) as Muddy Lane. It was tarmaced a few years ago when a new pathway/cycleway was created to a nearby village. It’s proper name is Gillman’s Drift but I’ve never heard anyone actually call it that.
Not a very exciting view but part of my circular walk today.
