Rosellas by girlie

Rosellas

Try as I might I've been unable to get a decent shot of the beautiful Crimson Rosellas and these shots are no exception. However, they are a change from my lorikeets and galahs, so here they are. The reason I've inserted the smaller, rather blurry, shot is to show the beautiful blue tail. The colours here don't do it justice as the very long electric-blue tail is their standout feature. This mother rosella, on the right, brought her little baby down to check out my cousin's back lawn for seed heads while I was there. Crimson Rosellas are members of the parrot family and are native to Australia. I noticed when checking out the tags that there aren't many photos of Crimson Rosellas on 365 so will try my best to get some good ones.

You're too hard on yourself Robin, this is a lovely shot, nice to se the mother and offspring together to show the difference and I like the little pic showing that magnificent blue tail.
