The Rainbow Lorikeets are still partying in my Golden Penda. They're getting a little bolder now and allowing me to come a bit closer with the camera. This one had two lookouts posted in our nearby mango tree who shrieked a warning when they saw me creeping up the yard in the shadows. Got him just before he took flight.
@dulciknit Thanks, Alison. Still showery and overcast but the heavy rain has moved away. We've pretty well cleaned up after the flood, but our summer certainly waved goodbye after Christmas. Still humid and warm enough to swim, though.
@girlie Must be a relief that the heavy rain's over and things are getting back to normal.
We seem to be going back to winter rather than forward to spring!
@lyno Thanks, Lyn. I imagine you would feel great joy, like I do. And they are so amusing that you would probably be chuckling a good deal while you watch them at their antics.
This is Amazing! The Colors and your POV are just Perfect! FAV! Thank you so much Girlie for stickiing with me as i have been finding it so hard to comment with all the moving and illness! Im much better now and trying to catch up with everyone! :)
I can never get enough of these bright birds - it always makes me think of fossil reconstructions of dinosaur era bird-prototypes - sparrow-grey or lorikeet-garish? Lovely!
What's the weather and conditions like now, Robin?
We seem to be going back to winter rather than forward to spring!
Thanks for the fav.
