Crested Pigeon

These lovely birds are common in urban areas of Australia. They bob around our feet, pecking at food and the sound their wings make when they take off is like a prolonged whistle. Their mating dance is fascinating to watch.

Hi Robin. I happened to click on your picture of the beautiful pigeon. wow what colours. ours are plain grey. also, I've never seen a crest on a pigeon.
