Woodland Abstract

This is what I got when I stuck my camera into a large cavity at the base of a tree and took a shot using the flash. I DID remember to waggle a stick around in there to make sure it wasn't full of bees. :-D
(SOOC except for a "drop shadow.")
Very interesting Les. I would never think to do that. :)

Nice texture. This isn't one of the damages trees from the big storm is it? Hope that is all cleaned up.

Excellent. Now I know I'm not the only one that does things like this. Good idea to check for bees too. Have a great weekend Les.

@deens Glad I'm not the only one who can be seen wiggling a big stick inside of of a great tree cavity. :-D I am very much at ease in the natural world, but also vigilant. As you probably know in your own area, there are hidden dangers that could REALLY spoil your day! Thanks so much for checking in; hope that you and yours are all very well, Les

@mwarren365 Hiya Mike, and lots of thanks. This tree is alive and well (and HUGE) after the storm, but it does have a pretty obvious infestation of Carpenter Ants - that's where the "sawdust on the bottom comes from. Be very well, Les
