3:25pm into Bendigo

Another shot of the Bendigo rail-yards. There is only one train every half-hour or so, and I was lucky enough to have a one arrive while I was on the overpass. These V'Locity trains are used solely on the regional city services, (c100-150Km out of Melbourne).
Great pov and detail makes a great shot

Really like this. I remember your shot without train. You were wondering whether to clone out a cable across sky in foreground - was this one creative cropping, or different POV when you saw the train?

@wearing0 Thanks Debi, thank goodness for zoom lenses.

@ethelperry Shot from the same spot, but used more zoom Ethel. The original 'offending' cable didn't come into this view, but I've cloned out two others that did. You'd laugh if you could've seen the cameo, me up on the bridge winding up, hear strange noise, train appears under my feet, scramble for camera etc with great haste, just manage to get it out of the bag, turn on, removed AEB setting, set focus etc, etc then snap this shot and a couple of others as the train moved on. Quite a kerfuffle, but well worth the trouble.

Another great capture Marnie

What a kerfuffle - and you even had to change your settings!!! Wow, wow! Ah, the challenges of a photographer - a few expletives deleted under your breath too, if you're anything like me.

Wonderful sky with colours to match on the train and great lines. Fav

FAV love the detail and the composition.

Wonderful shot - great composition with the leading lines of the track. Well done for capturing the train as it really makes the shot!!

Great shot

I love the number of lines from the track and the light poles. And to have the train there and the details of the site -- really wonderful image.

Love the POV and all of the textures within the photograph. You've captured a wonderful sense of the busy-ness of this really well, too.

I love this. I have just read your reply to Ethel. Well worth all the effort. I had to laugh, I have had shots like that too. Well done.
This reminded me of the day David and I were walking along the beach taking photos. He had his big lens on the camera in the hope of catching an albatross which we knew was in the area. He finally gave up and had just put his camera and lens away when the damned thing flew over. Unfortunately, he missed the shot and there were lots of rude words on the walk home.

Very nice detail, and I like your processing.

@flyrobin Many thanks Robyn, you've got a good eye. I hadn't even noticed the matching bits.

@nanm Thanks Nancy, it was a great pov for photos.

@pamknowler Thanks Pam. I was quite excited when we drove over that bridge and could see the possibilities for photos from that height. Certainly a stroke of luck to have a train come along.

@kerristephens Thanks Kerri.

@voiceprintz Thank you. Not too often you can find a pov like this one. Very lucky.

@onewing Thanks Babs, you'd've laughed a lot had you been there. My scrambling around must've been a real sight.
