The only sunshine … by golftragic

The only sunshine …

… we saw for the next four hours.
The light is lovely, hope your game was too,.

@joysabin That light was there and gone in less than two minutes, thank goodness for iPhones. The golf had its moments, good and bad. Frustrating game.

Wow -- GREAT lighting! Too bad it went away. Nice wide open fairway if it weren't for those tricky traps!

Thank goodness for my iPhone, I always have it in the cart ready to rock 'n roll. As for those traps, we have over 200 of the wretched things between the two courses and I think I know every one of them up close and personal. This fairway is wide and slopes away quite markedly to the left --> many approach shots over said traps.

Looks like not the best ever environment for golf

@jgpittenger It's an excellent course, but very tough. Both our courses are ranked as being in Australia's top 100. But, and it's a big but, they are designed for low-maker male players so very tough.

Stunning light contrast. Glad you grabbed the moment. This would fit the weekly theme, Vista.

@ethelperry Thanks Ethel, good ole iPhone to the rescue.

Fabulous light! The iPhone takes amazing images!

From the look of those clouds you must have been lucky to avoid being very wet. This is a fabulous photo- I love the way the little people split the mean clouds from the sunny fairways.

Love the contrast of the wonderful light and the threatening sky.

Beautiful light and contrast. Fav

As already noted the lighting here is fantastic- good thing the iPhone was handy! I never played golf (except for the miniature kind which I'm not very good at!) but both of my grandfathers and my father did. Mom's dad was quite good from what I understand. He and my grandmother had a house which sat next to the T for the 18th hole and he loved sitting on the porch and checking in with the players to see how they did.

@pamknowler Yes, I'm constantly surprised at how good the shots are, and how many times it's the only camera I have with me when something unexpected pops up. Added to which it's so easy to snap the shot quickly.

@robz Looked like that, but no rain, just wind! The boys in front of us had no idea I took their photo.

@gilbertwood I'll believe it when I see it!!

@fbailey Thanks, pity it was just a very passing glimpse.
May 25th, 2018
@hermann Thanks Sally, the golf course is a great place for sky photos.

@bintal Many thanks, I just wish I could pop that light into a jar and bring it out when needed.
May 25th, 2018
@caterina Thanks Caterina, make hay (or a photo) when the sun shines.

@olivetreeann Golf is the most frustrating sport ever invented, as someone wise said, 'you only get a lend of it' (playing well). No-one ever entirely masters it permanently.

Wonderful lighting and colours.

@haskar Thanks Haskar.
