I was amazed at the attention to detail and skill needed to restore these old trams to their former glory.

Amiens (a suburb of Stanthorpe) has been gifted an old local tram that they are restoring to use as a part of their Soldier Resettlement Memorial site. It is indeed fascinating to see how the project is progressing. The railway carriage will serve as a meeting room, memorial, gallery and provide light refreshments for visitors by appointment.

A proper tram! How absolutely wonderful. They really do work hard at restoration, don't they?

Restoring anything with wood, brass and glossy paint takes a lot of hard work. But the end result is so worth it! Good shot.

What a great storytelling shot -- the amount of detail and the ladders work so well together.

@taffy BTW, I think those ladders are actually the framework for part of the roof of this tram.
