Solid stone steps at Sigiriya

These stone steps at Sigiriya have been here a long, long time. Today's gone pear-shaped, Les has to go to hospital (been sick for a month), will comment as much as possible. Sorry.
The steps are well worn.

I do hope Les recovers soon. At least she is in the right place to help her. She has resisted going to hospital for far too long hasn't she. Don't worry about commenting, just take care of yourself.

Look at those well worn stairs. Hope things improve for Les.

@onewing Thanks Babs, I've just got back from the hospital, took them an hour+ to admit her - change of shifts. How ridiculous. I'll keep you posted.

@dide Thanks Dianne, much appreciated. She's been so sick for so long I'm pretty stuffed too, she should've gone to hospital ages ago.

@pamknowler Thanks for your concern Pam. She is actually quite a bit better than she was ten days or so ago when I thought the worst might even happen. I've been stressed outta my brains, not to mention very busy picking up all the bits in all directions.

@graemestevens Totally agree.

Hope she gets better soon. Sounds stressful. Lovely edit

Don't think you'd be too impressed with these steps!! great capture though!! That's sad news about Les too - hope they can find what's wrong and help her. Thinking of you both. xx

All good thoughts and wishes for Les - if she's your darling then she's our darling, too! I am always on the look for a good stairs shot, it is difficult to find the right light!

Please take good care of yourself, Marnie. I know you must be worrying

Beautiful capture and so inviting. But you and I do struggle with stairs, don't we?! I hope Les is on the mend now and they've diagnosed what's wrong. Don't worry about commenting- we'll be here when the dust settles.

@domenicododaro You're a sweetie Domenico, thank you so much. Australia changed our laws about same-sex marriage just over a year ago, and we (been together 15 years) finally got married last March. She is now, thank goodness, in hospital under the care of a specialist which is where she should've been for around two weeks. One of the big problems in Oz is that the whole country goes on holidays over the Christmas/New Year/summer/school holidays break plus the first half of January and it's very difficult to get much done that isn't of top emergency status.

@gilbertwood I didn't climb them! She's sitting up in SJOG now under a specialist's care, thank goodness. She even admits she wasn't being rational when she kept refusing to go to a doctor or hospital. There are two private Emergency departments in Geelong (Epworth and SJOG) where someone can be seen quickly for around $200 which is neither here nor there under the circumstances. But I'd've had to carry her there bodily!

@jgpittenger Fingers crossed Jane, I think she is finally on the improvement slope. The doc has told her she can come home on Monday so he must be happy with the way she's going.

@haskar Thank you very much Haskar, I appreciate the concern of my 365 friends more than I can say.

@olivetreeann Yep, I just took the shot Ann. Les is definitely in the right place now and getting the treatment she's needed for weeks. She just refused point blank to co-operate with me about seeking medical attention, now admits she wasn't rational!

These steps are worse than mine at work and look a lot more slippery! Sorry to hear about Les. As everyone has said, don't worry about commenting, just look after you and yours!
January 11th, 2019
Hope everything gets sorted real soon. Love the steps!

Beautiful picture, but especially good news that Les will come home soon. All my best. Fav
