Sun-power

No shortage of sunny days in that part of the world. This solar array is used to power various pumps and other equipment, including the circular pivot irrigators.
We cannot live without them anymore. We have them on our roof, they heat the pool and supply us with hot water for about six months of the year. That saves us quite a bit of money as we do not need the geyser ;-)

@ludwigsdiana Solar has become very popular here too. We're still thinking about installing panels.

I keep telling Jeff we should get some installed on our roof. Why should the power company get all our money? But for some reason he's not too keen on the idea. This seems to be a very smart move for a farm.

@olivetreeann Definitely in a very sunny part of the world. Geelong's not nearly as sunny, but people round here still say solar panels are working well for them.

@jgpittenger I hadn't been out there for a while and was amazed at what he's done in the past couple of years - and the investment costs.
