A load and a half

Would you believe there's a man under there somewhere? Have a look too at the tiny little patches of rice just above the water-line. Sorry I couldn't get a better shot, I don't carry a long lens.
This is beautifully composed and a long lens would have lost that. Maybe it just needs to be printed huge!

@jgpittenger Maybe. But it's pretty seriously cropped (from a RAW, of course).

Oh wow! Your composition conveys just how tiny he is under all of that!

Great capture

So earthy looking. Love it.

@taffy I didn't get the full picture of the scale till I looked at my photos. It was all happening a fair way away.

@777margo Thank you.

@yaorenliu Many thanks.

Wow how amazing when you go in close to the guy under all that hay is it? So different from what we see on our roads in harvest time!

This looks like an illustration for a book - it's a wonderful image!

A great image and amazing the way he is carrying that load. Hopefully he can see out.

Oh my word!!

I have seen pictures like this from another 365er who travels extensively in those regions and I'm always amazed at the fact the bike can even stand upright let alone a person maneuver them! Good shot- it's what I always think of when I think of village life in this region.

I hope he doesn't have to stop suddenly ...
April 28th, 2019
Good heavens. I hope he reached home. Reminds me of some of the scenes we saw in Cyprus.
We were driving up the mountain road one day behind a lorry of water melons. The melons weren't tied down in any way and as the road got steeper the melons began to roll and we were pelted with flying melons.

@pamknowler I don't know what the load is, but it didn't look like the hay we're familiar with. I didn't get a close look unfortunately.

@robz Can you imagine that happening here????
April 29th, 2019
@mv_wolfie Many thanks.
April 29th, 2019
@dide I think he could, the path wasn't very wide.

@merrelyn @casablanca Many thanks.

@olivetreeann If you're referring to the 365er I think you mean, her shots are far, far better than mine.
April 29th, 2019
@fbailey Oh crikey, doesn't bear thinking about.
April 29th, 2019
@onewing You must've had quite a time in Cyprus, lots of interesting experiences.
April 29th, 2019
@golftragic Don't put yourself down- this shot is fine!
April 30th, 2019
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann, just when I see what others produce with long lenses I sometimes wonder. But I'm trying to lighten my gear as much as possible without losing too much quality.

@golftragic I operate on the "travel light" motto when I go out with the club. The more lenses the more you have to lug around. I decide ahead of time, "today I'll work with my... lens" and that's that.

@olivetreeann Totally agree.
