City Family Hotel by golftragic

City Family Hotel

Bendigo is full of lovely old buildings, many of them harking back to the wealth created by the mid-nineteenth century gold rushes. I have been unable to find any useful information about this pub's history. ☹️
love it. So there. Excellent composition and that person having the gall to walk through the shot finishes it nicely.

@momamo Thanks Monique, it didn't work in colour for me.

@golftragic it is a shame what happens to a lot of the old buildings - did find this The City Family Hotel (1872), built for investor Jean Baptiste Loridan - and that was it so far lol

I really like slender tall buildings on corners like this. I don't know why but I find them so appealing!

Love it's shape :)

I like the way you captured the original architecture of this building by choosing your angle and by choosing light conditions such that the shadows of the cornices emphasize the building design.
