Red sky in the morning … by golftragic

Red sky in the morning …

I hope the sheep were sheltered, we had a thunderstorm early arvo and pelting rain. Gotta love Southern Victorian weather - never boring. Minimal processing, bar removing TV antennae.
fab sky - oh the drama!

Dramatic clouds is an under statement- this is most spectacular. Fav!

Like it's on fire (which given recent history, is probably not the best choice of analogy!). It is stunning.

@graemestevens Not wrong, it's a long time since I've seen a sky like that.
March 29th, 2020
@joysabin Thanks Joy. We had a sky like this some years back, but not since then. Les was up early, came whizzing back and said to get my backside outta bed and grab my camera.

@taffy I guess you're right, but for those of us who were fortunate enough not to be directly affected by the fires all those disasters have faded a fair bit into the distance while we all cope with this wretched Chinese virus. I do hope you two are keeping well and safe.

Wow what a sky.. how are you Marnie..
March 29th, 2020
such a wonderful sky - hope you are faring well :)

@julzmaioro @annied Thanks folks, we're pretty good and trying to stay as isolated as possible. For once in my life I was ahead of things and was very conscious of what could happen so laid in enough essentials for us to stay pretty much bunkered down. Les has a crap chest so I've done all the shop-stuff for the past four weeks with the aid of lots of sanitiser, gloves, masks etc. I hope you two and families are all well and are able to avoid this disastrous Chinese virus.

@summerfield Thanks Vikki, very odd to be outside in my PJs but needs must etc.
March 29th, 2020
@golftragic - if you're holding a camera, there's nothing wrong wearing a pyjama outside.
March 29th, 2020
So dramatic. The clouds make me think of turbulent water.
March 29th, 2020
@summerfield I couldn't agree more!! Cameras seem to have the power to make all sorts of otherwise odd behaviour acceptable.
March 29th, 2020
@salza Hadn't thought of that, but you're right. Hope you're staying well and safe during these awful times.
March 29th, 2020
Great capture of all that drama and colour in the sky.
March 29th, 2020
Do enjoy reading what is happening in your area. Not all good of course but its communication.
March 29th, 2020
That's a stunning image Marnie!!
March 29th, 2020
I've never witnessed a sky like this. Glad to hear you are faring well despite Covid-19 times. Still using your lens and loving it. :)
March 29th, 2020
Another stunner :) fav

@golftragic your reply to julia and annie is much like our scenario! I knew I was coming down with my bi-annual cold so immediately went to the dr to get the meds that keep it from becoming bronchitis. At that time I suggested we fill the larder so as not to have to run to the grocery so frequently and be around people. Well, that was a fortuitous idea! We're doing very well, and feel blessed that we so enjoy one another's company! Time now to get some projects accomplished! And all that said, THAT IS A SKY you photographed that's not to be believed! I haven't seen that much colour since I lived in Arizona as a child! Just remarkable! ♥ Love and stay healthy!

What a beauty!!
March 29th, 2020
Glad to hear you are healthy and well and prepared. I have never seen such a dramatic sky
March 29th, 2020
@maggiemae Yeah, and that's become very important in these dark times.
March 30th, 2020
@robz Unlike this morning, grey yucky skies.
March 30th, 2020
@darylo It was truly amazing Daryl, and very, very rare. Hope you're staying safe and continue to do so. Glad the lens has met your expectations.
March 30th, 2020
@gilbertwood Thanks Denise, wasn't there for long, so grateful Les yelled to me.
March 30th, 2020
@Weezilou This kind of thing is very, very unusual here Louise, only seen it once or twice before in the 30 years I've lived here.
