Moonrise and cloud streak by golftragic

Moonrise and cloud streak

Another shot of the moon rising in the east with the tail-end of the long cloud streak. It stretched around 180 degrees, from west to east, and was cirrus cloud. Definitely neither a con-trail nor a tornado. It was a mystery I guess I'll never solve.
Fascinating about the cloud...It seems there have been some interesting things to look at in the sky of late... Lovely moonrise, and how wonderful that you have so much open space!

@Weezilou This is my daughter's place Louise, not ours. We live in suburban Geelong. You're right though, it's lovely there, only a tad over two hours drive, and we had a great family Christmas.

@golftragic Seems we share similar lifestyles given that Ken and I live a suburban life in So Cal. Just two hours and five minutes up the coast, our daughter and family live on a mesa overlooking the ocean with mountains rising up behind them. It's easy to see that we love to visit there, as you must love this as well!

Nice sky colours, and that cloud certainly gives it a whimsical feel.
