Ubiquitous emblem

I see Coke signs all over the world.
A universal connection. Wonderful find.

Oh gosh...can't escape it!

It’s everywhere just like McDonalds! Sign of the times!

So where are the McDonald signs to go with it!!!

@joysabin I have photos of Cole signs from all sorts of places.

@taffy Gastronomic (?), perhaps more like consumerist imperialism.

@pamknowler We saw plenty of the Golden Arches too Pam. Very depressing.

@gilbertwood Short answer. In the nearest big town. Fast food giants are everywhere.

You can't get away from it can you. I bet you have quite a collection of Coke photos. You could probably put them together in a book

@onewing Yeah, I guess so, but fast food chains and the like aren’t my favourite subject.

Ubiquitous. I try to ignore it unless it spoils my composition.

Good old Coca Cola :)

Junk food outlets and addictive fizzy drinks can't be helping world health! Capitalism at its worst. ( Sorry - it's one of my pet hates.....)

@haskar I like to record the presence of such things, things I don't care for at all.

@hermann Spreads like the plague.

@robz We're on the same page.

A phenomenon that I encountered on my travels. I'm always looking for the special, unique of a place. And then I often see things that are spreading all over the world and overshadowing everything - like this "odour signature" by Cola. The magic of a place is then extinguished.

@jerome Absolutely right Jerome, very well said. I suppose it's a bit odd, but I like to document a bit of that consumerist rubbish spread that's homogenising our world. I even have a (real) photo somewhere with the C-C emblem on a beach shack in VietNam in the late 1990s. It all horrifies me.

@golftragic Yes, you are right. You have to point out these dubious things. It is unfortunate how the diversity of this world is increasingly lost through this conformity. I am afraid that the possibilities of digitization will accelerate this process.
