Holding forth

Our guide for the tea factory tour tended towards a little over-excitement at times. Rubbish photo, but does show where the sacks of freshly picked leaves in yesterday's shot go to next.
Some people seem to be interested, some are in a dream and some are catching up on phones! Did it smell like tea?

So fun to see that you captured her waving arm! I wonder at the iPhone -- I know that Jim used his to record a lot of our guides' commentaries, so that may be what she was doing.

Looks like she has everyone’s attention

I suspect you're right Taffy, I never bother doing that though Les does. The guide did rattle on and on a bit.

She liked centre stage. Why use one sentence when you can use three or four?

@jgpittenger Sure did, nobody could get a word in edgeways.

I love how this picture tells a story.

@onewing I thought you might like this one.

it certainly does tell a story :)

Interesting to see what tea looks like early in the process before being packed into inviting little boxes!

Great shot and lighting. Cool aprons.

Rubbish photo?? Me doesn't think so Marnie! I think your processing is really good. And I loved how you got the photo of the iPhone taking a photo FAV

You have caught some really interesting expressions Marnie :)

Very nice sharp picture Marnie. I see you have a Fuji X-T2. How do you like it? Fav BTW

@Weezilou Yep, just lots of little green leaves that go through quite a lot of processes.

@haskar Yeah, but we had to give the aprons back. ☹️

@gigiflower Thank you so much Sam, you're too kind.

@merrelyn Including some sheer boredom!

@caterina Thanks Caterina. I took a bunch of photos inside the factory but messed most of them up badly. I was playing with ISO and got the shutter speeds too low so blurred them. Lesson to be learned: Leave the darned camera on Aperture Priority and it will do the job properly!!! I love my X-T2 and use it solely hand-held these days. I use a wrist-strap and rarely use my 18-135mm which is my biggest lens. With the 18-55mm, 35mm f1.4 or the 27mm pancake it's easy to use fairly discreetly. Just wish I'd had the forethought (a) to stick to AP; and (b) to use the 35mm f1.4 in the dim conditions inside the factory. Sigh.

Great shot- I think I'd rather have an animated guide than one who can't wait for the tour to be over. That sure is a lot of tea there!

@olivetreeann Fair call.
