Kookaburra its a Kingfisher, bird living in trees, and they are territorial. But they are not native to Tasmania. They were brought to the island at the beginning of the twentieth century to help reduce the number of snakes. Well, they still hunting snakes but also lizards, birds, insects and rodents. Kookaburras live in groups, females lay the eggs in the gum trees' hole. Laughing Kookaburra making distinctive sound resemble a laugh and that way notifying other birds they overtaking a territory.
