... our little house used to be part of a tavern for sailors to rest their weary bones and drink themselves silly - to me these old style etchings on the alley walls are local historical landmarks & this one is certainly a wonder to my eyes

i guess the window must have been added later which is why the ship is cut off

thanks for comments & favs on yesterdays moth which got her on the PP which was a real treat :o)

Very textural shot and that little peek of blue offers a lovely contrast. Oh yesterday's little diva has been on sign in page today too.

One thing that surprised me about looking through a book of old Victorian photos recently was the graffiti on the walls - rarely any words, almost all just pictures, then I realized that this must be because in those days a lot of people couldn't read or write. Some of the drawings were very well done and intricate, like this ship here.
