cittadella

... our tiny little island has a citadel in its capital & this place is soaked in history & has it fair share of ghosts i am sure - during the time of turkish invasion the entire population holed up within it's walls - husbands killed their wives and daughters rather than have them suffer at the hands of the enemy
This is pretty cool. It has a spooky look about it.

Oh, if those photogenic walls could talk!

@4bellaarte they do whisper a bit as you go past - or maybe it's just the wind :o)

Beautifully composed and perfect processing. Really brings out the feel. Saw a model of the citadel made from a single tree trunk in Valletta yesterday. I took some pics, but none to do it justice. Was an amazing piece of work!

@angiec wow - hard to imagine how someone even starts a project like that - would like to see a shot of it

This shot has bags of atmosphere. I love the shadows and the light. Just perfect for monochrome. Gorgeous. Fav from me.

This is brilliant. You're probably right about the ghosts.

what a chilling history. You make the photo feels that way. Love places have so much histories and stories – even they are “ghosty”

Beautiful B&W capture of the Cittadella, Catherine. I love to walk there after dark - never met a ghost.
