I went to the beach today, but not to swim as I even have trouble staying afloat in the shower. Not to mention that I am firmly of the opinion that as soon as you put any part of your body in the ocean you technically become something called "lunch". I believe that the horse that this shoe once belonged to may have suffered the same fate...what lurks in the deep?
So, that's the dreaded "Landscape" shot done for the ONS7 challenge.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Lovely shot Graeme. Not so sure about your excuse for not getting your togs on though. You need to come up to the Winterless North where the sharks are so friendly.
@mzzhope AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! @livvy so was I for a while, then the tide started coming in @lorenaavalos thanks very much @jules13 no one needs to see me in togs! @peter_1966 thank you very much
You have such an intriguing take on things. I always have to see what you've done. This one does not disappoint. A very interesting take on a landscape (gives me a feeling of a cross between Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns and Mad Max}.
Any time you float in the shower, I know a good plumber to unblock your drains! I'm with you re sharks (in water and on land). Love your photo, and as usual I especially love your imagination let loose.
@johenn Thank you, it reminded me of a slightly western scene as well @bellshanghai2014 Thank you very much @deak68 Thanks very much @lynnilou Thank you, much appreciated @tracelee Thanks for that @ceilidh Thanks, not only eerie but more than a touch windy...how we suffer for our art (and I got a wet leg!!!!) @newbank Thanks very much @brigette Thank you very much @golftragic Hmmm...not sure I want a plumber in there with me, but thanks very much!
@sarahview I just use google Picassa, but most editing suites have a function that allow you to put text in...and thanks @andrewkru thank you very much
@scolgs thank you :) @wearing0 thanks very much, always appreciated @claireuk thanks very much :) @neatz I'm not so sure...to my knowledge (and I'm often wrong) if you hang a horse shoe upside down all the luck runs out, but if you hang them the "right" way up they become a witches cradle. Sideways...just looks silly ;)
a fav for sure as the tones textures and focus are amazing - I admire your take on not entering the ocean as I absolutely adore sharks and become quite irate when people want to wipe them off the planet because once a year one kills someone - so I agree with if worried don't swim - but - really the philosophy is flawed - you could equate it to don't step off the kerb you could become roadkill - ha ha sorry for the verbosity
