One finds that one is still to exhaustipated (to tired to give a shit) to come up with anything too creative, so here is Mount Egmont/Taranaki in all her 4 degrees C glory at 10.15 this morning. I'm going back to bed.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Stunning! I really like how vivid the colors are! I wish I could even think about going back to bed at10:15AM! My kids get me up at 6:30AM. Every. Single. Day.
@vignouse thanks very much - it's about a 20 minute drive from home. At the point where this was taken there's a still another 4 hours climb...some other day @daneau thanks very much, always appreciated @eyeamlisa been there, done that, get to sleep in now days :) @skipt07 thanks very much, and thanks very much :) @lisamarie5 thank you, and yes, it certainly is @redy4et thanks, and thanks for the follow @livvy thanks very much, it does that to me too @milaniet thank you very much - the sun was hitting her just right @gigiflower yep, that's how we roll down here @voiceprintz thanks very much, it's different every day - when you can see it for the clouds!
Absolutely gorgeous... and I had no idea that other people were aware that the word exhaustipated even existed ... let alone use it! Another favorite of mine is 'shituation' ;)
@mzzhope thank you so much :) @ceilidh Thanks - a youth group once carried a sofa and a barbecue to the top... @jess1204 thanks very much - it changes by the hour @lisatown thanks - and I can see myself using shituation on a regular basis! @jaynspain thank you very much @newbank thanks - I remembered...and then went back again as it seemed only fair @trinda thanks very much, appreciated :) @wearing0 thank you very much @tracelee thanks very much @bellshanghai2014 thanks - it's a stunner alright, we're pretty lucky to have it so close @shawnasays thank you very much @mukeshpapd thanks, and yes - 20 minutes to the mountain, 5 minutes to the sea @shepherdmanswife thanks very much, had a wonderful sleep thanks @lynnilou thanks very much...bit of a change of direction but I had to get over my irrational "fear" of landscapes! @denisefuller thank you so much :)
Hey mate I will be in your own tomorrow and I will be there to photograph this hill. Lol
Do you have face book as I would love some inside information as to the best place to photograph this hill.
I plan on getting to the north road at around midday and spending the afternoon there and the evening in New Plymouth. If I get my shots of the mt I will get early morning shots of the boardwalk as I am staying in the park right on the sea. If I don't get my shots I will be back up the mt early on the morning before I drive to tupoa
@agima I do have Facebook, just Graeme Stevens should find me. Thanks for the feed back on the shot, much appreciated.
If it's a clear day the are plenty of places to get shots of the hill, but North Egmont visitor centre, Dawson Falls and the Stratford Mountain house and Plateau are always popular. Having said that it clearly visible from parts of Pukekura Park, Lake Mangamahoe and parts of the Coastal Walkway as well! It's very much a case of "pick your spot"...again, thanks very much for the feed back, I was thinking that it was somewhat over processed
@daneau thanks very much, always appreciated

With that the bottom part offers no real value to the image.
Love the clouds and the composition if we could see the bottom better.
