This is for the Five Plus Two "Mythological" challenge.
I have experienced the greatest terror. I see his eyes when I close mine. They are hollow. Black. They see me and pierce me. His wet hand. I will not sleep. His voice...
Such fun!!!
Sleep tight all...
(Best viewed against black if you have the time)
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
5+2 have a vacancy (unfortunately), I do hope they ask you. If this is an audition - you've passed with flying colours... And 3.10am is not the right time to be viewing this image!
so glad I'm viewing/reading this on my first night in a vacation home in the middle of nowhere, with tons of windows and it's pitch dark out...awesomely creepy shot!

@graemestevens horror movies are my thing - have always loved them and prefer to watch them alone and in the dark - generally they do not give me nightmares but creatures that look like this are the ones that will hahahaha - do I dare to return when it is dark?
Awesome! These really inspire me to try to start digging to express some creativity in my photography. This one is fantastic and would scare the bejeepers out of me.... If I didn't know it was you :p
Love the branches against the black, fav. Not scared since I can tell you are having way too much fun, and I'm so impressed with the white branch effect!!!
@trinda Thanks very much, it was great fun today. I actually bought some branches that had been trimmed over the weekend inside so that I could be in a dark enough room for the double exposure...my neighbours must worry...
Why don't you try to write a book, an illustrated book, in the genre of Stephen King and Dean Koontz - you could NAIL it!!! FAB image! Veeeeeeeeeeery scary!!!
@ceilidh Once you're in there a no going back ;) @lilminimonka Thanks very much indeed @yaorenliu Thanks, it was to cold to take anything more than my shirt off! @rachelwithey Thanks very much @peter_1966 thanks, much appreciated @lynnilou Thanks very much - I wouldn't know where to start with writing a book! @davie Thanks very much - I thought I looked quite cuddly as well! @roseolivia thanks very much - if it does, I apologise profusely @wearing0 Are you sure about that? ;) And thanks very much!
@graemestevens I have a friend on facebook - check him out Thomas Carnegie Jeffrey - he is an author of horror books and often asks his followers to help him write, and we all chip in with our bits - its such fun!
@lynnilou Done, I have an author/poet friend as well, John Irvine, who writes book like Blood Curry which is a collection of macabre poetry, short stories and recipes that use blood...
@graemestevens I love reading and watching horror........but then when I go to bed, I RUN down the passage with every hair on my body standing straight up - terrified...whahahaha!!!!
@pittcj17 thanks very much! @lynnilou I like some but by no means all horror - Clive Barker used to give me the heebie jeebies but then I find Stephen King quite tame (bloody good, but not frightening)...odd little man that I am...
It’s funny you should mention Clive Barker and Stephen King… I was just sitting here thinking that you sit at the very crossroads of their imagination… Is your name by any chance pronounced G-R-I-M..? ;-p
@bankmann Somewhat disturbingly, Bill Gates and Spellcheck have combined forces and their first suggestion in auto-correct for the spelling of my name is "grime"...I'm prepared to take that and run with it.
Wow - this picture would give me nightmares! I had to click on it just to see what the story was! Fabulous picture, but forgive me if I don't linger too long lol.
