So...today I got a new haircut. I seem to have come away from the experience with something of a niggling headache as well but I'm sure it's nothing a few painkillers won't fix.
Very loosely inspired by the works of Gunter Brus, who is fast becoming a favourite artist for me. Can't think why.
Go on, view it against the black...before bed...
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@hippiechick13 Thanks very much :) @hermann LOL, I don't think there would be much to remove - and it's disturbingly close to this in colour as well... @rosiekerr I promised not to tell where I got the haircut... @gigiflower Clarise.... @cailts You're more than welcome - sweet dreams ;)
@gigiflower@graemestevens
oh I have been fart arsing around trying to take a photo choose a photo do something with a photo and my brain was melting and I forgot to start looking at posts - well this fixed any meltdown - the comments and the image - both superb!
@annied Why thank you kind lady, pleased as always to have been of assistance. And I thinks it's a bit to late to stop that. @gigiflower I'm getting the same way myself! @johenn That's a question I can't answer, but have a great sleep!!!
@gigiflower@graemestevens that is why I think it took me so long to get here hahaha busy reading
Oh and Graeme - the stories surrounding Gunter Brus and the "Kunst und Revolution" are interesting and his artwork is both creative and disturbing :) I can see why you are attracted
@annied@graemestevens@gigiflower hello and morning one and all. Does look slightly sore. Hope you didn't pay barber too much. Perhaps whilst there is a gaping hole you could get someone to top up the cotton wool stored in there?
Do you pull legs out in NZ? Tried to explain to eldest what it meant.....unsurprisingly 5 yr olds don't get it....anyway I'm sounding boring now. Toddle dooooo.
@chippy1402 no I think you have it all wrong. Don't listen mr s. Chocolate helps and solves and soothes and comforts at all times. Though I know I don't need to tell a fellow chocoholic this. Eat it it will help.
@newbank@annied@graemestevens - MORNING!!!! Ms Newbank, please don't show your 5 year any photos from Mr Stevens project. You want your darling 5 year old to grow up with no hysteria. Nor talk about pulling legs. Maybe try and explain to your 5 year old that there are more sheep in NZ than people, and given this, most people in NZ are married to sheep. I'm sure your 5 year old will understand immediately.
@andrewkru thanks very much :) @chippy1402 I couldn't live without chocolate but I'm quite happy to sit in a darkened room... @pinkpaintpot you'll be fine...honest... @shannejw Thanks, just one slip... @tracelee thank you very much @ceilidh that just gives me more ideas... @kt8ird there are days when I'm not sure either but today involved a "bald cap", acrylic paint and some oatmeal face scrub...and thanks very much! @annied He's definitely a favourite - very creative, dark, disturbing...lovely man... @gigiflower are you saying my wife is a sheep??? @annied@gigiflower@newbank Yes, we do pull legs here...and whatever else we can get our hands on, however the difference between NZ and Australia is that we're not all thieving convicts who have mainly settled on the coast in the hope of hi-jacking a passing ship and escaping to somewhere better. We also win at sports, about which I care very little, which holds true of Crowded House as well so when Australia says Crowded House are Australian...I'll agree every time. Give back the pavlova though. You know damn well it's not yours.
@graemestevens Possibly. I neither confirm or deny. Backing our quickly now.
@graemestevens@annied@newbank Is that why ALL New Zealanders are coming to Australia???? And you win at sports? Please give 3 examples over the past 5 years. Please take back Crowded House but more importantly Russell Crowe. I make a mean chocolate pavlova straight from the bosom of Nigella. You can have the boring pavlova with your passionfruit, yep take that. But leave the bosom of Nigella with me :)
@gigiflower@annied@newbank We do not want Russell Crowe either. I will not give 3 examples as I do not care, as previously stated. You may keep Crowded House. This conversation is over as I am now fully engaged in complex thoughts regarding Nigellas bosom. Good evening to you.
@annied@graemestevens LOL LOL One can only think your mind and your typing skills crashed and burned as you were thinking about your upcoming wedding. I'd be more than happy to be your bridesmaid. And Nigella can make the chocolate pav as the wedding cake. No stupid passionfruit allowed.
@annied@graemestevens chocolate? I didn't think you liked chocolate??? I don't have much to add on the Aussie /NZ debate.... frankly I'm lost and its too far to come too on a plane. Even for chocolate pav.
@newbank I like chocolate @graemestevens likes Nigellas Bosom but doesn't like Crowded House or Pavlovas and @gigiflower well she makes a mean chocolate pav straight from Nigellas bosom - so there you have it in a nutshell hahahahaha
@andy3168 Thank you very much :) @taffy Thanks very much...I must be getting predictable. Would you believe I never watch horrors? @scolgs Thanks very much indeed @jesperani Thanks very much...I borrowed my daughters "bald cap"...not even sure why she has one... @lynnilou Thank you kindly, one tries... :)
Well I have taken al your shots on the chin so to speak but was truly horrified to look at this.....eerily realistic....gave me quite a start.....you are truly in a bad way Graeme.......hope you last till morning!
@happypat I made it! As for the Pavlova...I know!!!! @yrhenwr It seems to be...as for a run...I have a car... @yaorenliu Thanks very much :) @jess1204 Thanks very much - took me ages to merge the line of the "bald" cap" to my actual skin...nearly got bored and gave up! @tellefella Thanks very much - seems to be okay at the moment... @homeschoolmom Thanks very much :)
@tammyputney How do I do these photos? It's just a very dark room, one source of light and in this case a "bald cap" from a joke shop, some black acrylic paint and some quality oatmeal face cleanser...and an idiotic tendency to make a fool of myself! As for the inspiration - I really don't know. I don't watch horror movies r anything (not because I don't like horror though...I just find them a bit cheesy)...also, thank you very much :)
Omg.....you need more than a Tylenol for that buddy.Cant even drink with your mouth sewed up like that.Maybe you can wear a beer hat and pout it directly into your cranium.I love this dark,creepy hideous image.fav
@graemestevens nutshell - I did and I will ;-P
cheesy horror rocks but Asian - particularly Japanese horror is the best - I like much from Europe too but it is often harder to get
@mzzhope Thanks very much :) It's stopped hurting now, although to be fair I thinks that's because I've gone numb @kamen088 Thanks very much - I need one too. Again. Always. @annied I've tried horror movies...but I much prefer sinister books
@lilminimonka Thanks very much :) @livvy Thank you so much - I use a very dark right with the only source of light being a softbox app on the iPad, a tripod, ISO usually about 200, shutter speed about 1.6 seconds and f stop around 4.5 ish...and a whole lot of luck
@tabarlett Excellent, just the look I wanted :)
@hermann LOL, I don't think there would be much to remove - and it's disturbingly close to this in colour as well...
