Vantage (2)

Hoorah, hurrah, hooray, yippee skippy, fluffy bunnies and rainbows are gone and winter is here!!!
Best on black, just like me ;)
I really like the movement in your skies - dark and seeming like they are approaching or advancing = ominous!
June 6th, 2015
@jetr Thank you very much - they were most definitely advancing!

Super shot Graeme. Is it always cloudy in winter?
June 6th, 2015
@bigugly We get the odd clear day but on the west coast here in winter we spend most of our time getting pummelled by the South Wester and drenched by all the rain that comes with it! And thanks :)
June 6th, 2015
I like the contrast between the smooth clouds and swirling waves.
June 7th, 2015
I could sit and look at this for hours. Looks so good on black?
June 7th, 2015
Perfectly Graeme. Well shot, sir.
June 7th, 2015
Love it, wonderfully gloomy :)
June 7th, 2015
Sam
ooohhhh those clouds! Was this done with long exposure?
June 7th, 2015
what an interest rock formation here.
June 7th, 2015
The contrasting textures between clouds, sea, and rock are wonderful. The lighting is ........ well, it's you!

@alinz Thanks very much :)
@mothermalarky Thanks very much - gloomy you mean? ;)
@yaorenliu Thanks - there are 5 or 6 of these "islands dotted around this beach, you can get to two of them at low tide
@gigiflower Nope, 1/125 and a little bit of manipulation in Lightroom. I took it with the wide angle lens and when I apply lens correction in LR I've noticed that it tends to give it a bit of a sense of movement...
@hermann Thank you kindly :)
@melston Thanks very much :)
@janiskay Thank you so much :)
@nickspicsnz Thanks very much indeed :)
June 7th, 2015

June 7th, 2015
Lovely grey dark ominously ominous image
June 7th, 2015
You could make (another) name for yourself with this type of shot - I guess the common denominator for these seascapes and your selfies are that both are mean, moody and magnificent!
June 7th, 2015
Love that dark and ominous sky.
June 7th, 2015
Wonderful seascape Graeme...
June 7th, 2015
Beautiful seascape, Graeme! FAV.
June 7th, 2015
that's nice Graeme - and I'm procrastinating - feeling sorry for myself and guilty that I should be working (on a Sunday) so playing photography
June 7th, 2015
Love it, great movement...
June 7th, 2015

@graemestevens in your next self portrait - smile - and we shall call that gappy happy joy
June 7th, 2015
And you know why gappy appeared - nothing to do with your physical appearance- time and those presumptuous bastard people
