Oh look...it's a beach shot. For a change of pace I left the (now decommissioned) power station chimney in the shot...mainly because it was too hard to edit out it's reflection. I think there might be some rain on the way.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
I feel at home on this beach now and look forward to the daily shot of it. It would make a great film set, something noir-ish .Wouldn't you love that Graeme a whole film crew plodding around your pristine sands....
I don't mind a beach shot, because it has been a while since I have seen one in person. I am laughing (but probably more than you would be) about the idea of a film crew tramping around.
It's a great shot.. and @jack4john there probably already has been a film crew plodding around here or very near, just can't quite recall the name of the movie.. I am sure Graeme will fill us in
@joemuli No hotels on our beaches, not in this part of the country anyway...wouldn't want commoners on my beach ;) @888rachel Thank you very much - I might be getting bored with it @yeshanghai Thank you very much :) @annied They were going to pull it down but it's mostly asbestos... @pools82 I hope not - there's only one dinosaur in these parts! @mollytrudgeon Thanks very much :) @shazzym Thank you very much :) @hermann Yeah...they were trouble... @maggiemae They just came in a great big grey mass... @mindeater Thank you very much :) @julzmaioro@jack4john Last of the Samurais was the one that was filmed locally, I believe they had an entire fishing village set up down here but luckily we were living in the UK at the time, otherwise I would have been full of righteous outrage! @rosiekerr Thanks very much - see above response re film crew ;) @photographycrazy Thank you very much :) @pinkpaintpot Thank you very much :)
@brigette Shocking isn't it - I hope you were sitting down... @joansmor Thank you very much :) @shepherdmanswife Thank you...I think my camera is finally working properly, why would I want to break it with colour? ;) @annied I wa sparked up having a pie and coffee...
@karlow75 They're pulling it down at the moment sadly, with the exception of the chimney, and then the local port will be rebuilding a nice shiny new storage facility on the site...
Beautiful shot and wonderful on black as usual... I love the reflection of the power station anyway, glad it was too much of a pain to edit. :) You know we love your beach shots!
@kerosene Thank you very much - I'm getting bored with them but I'm so uninspired lately, they're a good "go to" @denisef58 Thanks very much :) @nitrogene Thank you kindly :) @tonygig Thanks very much :) @dide Thanks very much - it's a bit of a local landmark, been tot he top once, great view @susale Thanks very much :)
I like the power station chimney....and, its reflection! I think it should feature more prominently in future shots! This is actually quite beautiful with the wider view!
